May 2018 saw the BMW South Africa, Rosslyn plant produced its first SA-Assembled BMW X3! These cars are destined for Europe. However, it’s exciting times in the motor industry.
The CEO of the BMW group in South Africa stated that this was years of hard work, Billions in Rands and loads of planning.
BMW also opened a distribution centre for BMW Car Parts in Midrand this year and it supplies over 56 dealers across Gauteng and surrounding areas.
And while the proudly South African BMW’s are being shipped off, it does make us very proud to be South African! This is great for the car industry and the distribution centre should see BMW parts being easier to access and this should trickle down to the pricing of these parts.
Makes you want to go out and buy a BMW! With BMW car parts being easily accessed it doesn’t matter if it’s new or pre-loved.
